Woman’s Pavilion

Cyrus Wagner, a nationally acclaimed San Antonio architect, designed the Woman’s Pavilion using Brutalism to symbolize the changing role of American women. This mid-century modern structure reflects the contemporary theory of relating the building’s design to the natural environment through its strict horizontal lines and small decorative features such as the geometric patterns on the exterior sconces.
