Tower of the Americas

Recently renovated, the Tower of the Americas served as the centerpiece for HemisFair ’68. It still ranks as the tallest structure in San Antonio at 622 feet (750 feet including the antenna), and is the fourth tallest observation tower on the continent. The base was originally surrounded by six glass mosaic panels depicting indigenous cultures of North and South America. The observation deck rotates at the speed of one full revolution per hour.
