Kampmann / Solomon Halff House

Local builder John Kampmann bought land west of the Acequia Madre in 1871 and divided it into two lots that he later sold in 1877. Solomon Halff, who ran a prosperous mercantile business with his brother, Mayer, purchased this lot. Solomon may have hired Kampmann to build this limestone Italianate style house for him in 1878.
