Maximillian Schultze House

This property, part of an 1845 subdivision, sold for $2,000 in 1893. Max Schultze, manager and later president of the Schultze hardware store, built the house c. 1893 or 1894 in typical Victorian cottage style. Sur le Douce, a Swiss bakery and restaurant, operated here during HemisFair.
